Objective:

I can analyze multiple interpretations of the references in a novel including both a pop culture reference and a Shakespearean play in order to determine their cultural value and evaluate how each influences the outcome of the novel (RL 7).

Entry Task:

As you come into class, grab your notebook and a packet from the front table. Then prepare to play a round of Blooket to review all 50 of our vocabulary words!

Over the next couple of weeks, we will revisit all our vocabulary words with Blooket and check-ins to prepare for our final vocabulary test.

What’s Going On:

Today we will explore some popular culture that helped shape the themes within Station Eleven. We will watch an episode of Star Trek: Voyager; as you watch carefully, work to answer the viewing questions in your packet.

Exit Task:

After watching, we will spend time discussing the connections to the book and completing your work packet.
